About Freemasony
Freemasonry is a principled way of life, offering a sense of belonging and of personal growth.
The principles by which a Freemason is expected to conduct himself, are based on tolerance, equality, charity and honour. They strive towards spiritual enlightenment, and personal development as a way to moral perfection. Freemasons demonstrate these principles by showing tolerance and respect for the opinions of others, behaving with kindness and practising charity and care for their community.
Personal Development
Participation in masonic meetings, education programs, leadership programs, masonic studies are just a few of the way opportunities that freemasons experience and gain personal development.
Meeting management, public speaking, personal confidence and self esteem are a few skills and benefits to be for a mason.
Philanthropy
At Freemasons - Keysborough, we are dedicated to continuing the efforts, that commenced in 1885, to be a benefit to the community.
The practice of universal charity is a core principle of Freemasonry.
Our efforts range from scholarships, participation with local schools, donations and hands on assistance.
We are supported by the Freemason Foundation Victoria, a registered charity, the origins of which date back to 1889 when
Sir William Clarke established the Freemasons Benevolent Fund.
Freemasons Victoria is widely known for its contribution to the community through the Freemasons Hospital (now Epworth Freemasons) and Royal Freemasons (Royal Freemasons Homes of Victoria).
Royal Freemasons - founded over 150 years ago - is a leading provider of aged care in Victoria, a leader in research and innovation.
